It is these same qualities that allow John and his uncle Gus to live in the beautiful high desert of Wyoming, where a black horse trainer is a novelty but certainly not unknown. But when a young gay man is murdered, the small community teeters over the brink of intolerance and John is forced to contend not only with horses but hate crimes, his homophobe father and, most frightening of all, a chance for love.
