The emphasis is on group work, for use with larger classes, promoting fluency in all skills, with realistic dialogues and role-playing. Clearly-defined boxes are used to highlight key points in grammar, while reading is encouraged by the use of situations familiar to the pupils. A revision programme regularly recycles and reviews structures and vocabulary. Each level of "Transafrique" has a student's book, a workbook and a teacher's book.
