Anita Target is a girl aged about ten. She's a bit of a smart-Alec and terribly enthusiastic about everything. She lives with her mum and dad in a small two-bedroom house. Her best friend, Nigel Cartwright, lives next door. He is in the year below her at school, even though he is only six months' younger. Against his wishes, he gets dragged along on many of her adventures. Anita loves sport and she is very, very competitive. She has some amazing magical trainers that allow her to look at the world in many different ways - they can take her back or forwards in time, shrink her to the size of an atom, or make her sprint at the speed of light. With the aid of the magical trainers they explore the world of science.
