This is a manual to help identify problems in pastures. It is designed to assist farmers, land managers and those interested in pasture management to understand what is going on in a pasture. It covers weeds, diseases, pests, nutrient disorders and pasture composition.

Conditions affecting grasses, suberranean clover, white clover, annual medics and lucerne are included. 'Pasture Doctor' guides the reader through a diagnosis of what you see, the possible causes and how to remedy the situation. The inclusion of information on soils, weed control, perennial pastures, establishment techniques and grazing management provides the means for addressing inbalances and ensuring a productive healthy pasture. The author, Jo Millar, has worked as an adviser to farmers, industry and commnity groups for over ten years, most recently as Pastures Extension Officer with Agriculture Victoria. She is curently undertaking research into perennial grasses at Charles Sturt University.
