Their prize: the world's first legally binding emissions targets. Their obstacle: American oil lobbyist and master strategist, Don Pearlman.

Kyoto is the urgent story of the moment all nations tried to set aside their differences for the sake of the earth.

It opened at the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, in June 2024, in a co-production between Good Chance and the RSC, and transferred to @sohoplace, London, in January 2025. It opened at the Lincoln Center Theater, New York, in October 2025.
