Having faced the horrors of the Greek-Turkish conflict in Cyprus during the 1960s and 70s, the Kyriakou and Mustafa families have resettled in London. But as they struggle to reconcile a new life with the turbulent emotions of the past, the two families find themselves unwittingly drawn into conflict with some of the city’s most dangerous criminals - men with an agenda of their own, who won’t let anything or anyone stand in their way. Based on true events and shifting between past and present, London and Cyprus, The Cruel Divide is an emotive tale of love and war, cruelty, compassion and justice, which highlights the differences that divide us but also our shared humanity.
