A major observer and writer of Chinese cultural life, Tsien Tsuen-hsin contributed profoundly to the West's understanding of the East, and vice versa, spending sixty years as a professor and curator at The University of Chicago. These articles illuminate such topics as Chinese documents, Chinese paper, ink-making, printing, cultural exchange, libraries, and biographies, which were Tsien Tsuen-hsin's primary interests.
